PERSONAL STATEMENT: I must show my students that I care about them as unique individuals and strive to create positive, long-lasting student-teacher relationships. I am a good role model, abide by high moral standards, and be someone they can trust and look up to in the present and years to come, past their school days. Music and games also play a significant role. To accomplish this, the classes will consist of various teaching approaches to cover all aspects of the language and keep it interesting for the students.
FAVORITE CACS MEMORY: I made the best decision to send my children to CACS. They had a good education based on the Catholic faith. The best memory was when they had their first communion. Each week, a class was in charge of planning the mass, so students would do readings, sing the songs, etc. Parents participate in different activities to be part of this school community. Being part of this school community as a teacher is the most exciting opportunity because I know what to expect as a parent. As a Spanish teacher, I want to help students achieve the basic skills to understand and communicate in that language and develop an interest in and appreciation of the Hispanic culture that has become such an important, integral part of American life. It helps open minds to new ideas and different ways of viewing the world. Understanding other cultures also makes us more tolerant.
